Once out, toothpaste cannot be put back into the tube….!!!
We all know that the above saying says a lot….It explains how a loss cannot be mend once done…!! Similarly, why be careless when it comes to taking tooth and gum care and using a salubrious toothpaste which is natural.
We tend to overlook the fact that healthy teeth always lead to a healthy diet intake. Over past few years our lifestyles have changed and so have our eating habits. Especially in metro cities like Pune, Mumbai and many other big cities, dental problem has soared up to an alarming rate. Junk and fast food have largely become a part of the regular regime. In such a scenario where our frenetic daily routine makes it difficult to find time for our tired bodies, taking care of our teeth and gums definitely becomes a secondary affair. Even brushing twice a day is rarest of the practice that any of us follow!!
To top it all, the toothpastes that we use these days have high chemical content and abrasives amongst which chemicals named propylene glycol and fluoride are the worst. These are by far the most dangerous chemicals of all which are potentially toxic and lethal.
Instead why not GO GREEN and use toothpastes which are herbal, innate and effortless!! Of late, there have been toothpastes in the market which have biological ingredients like green tea extract which is known to fight bacteria and bad breath; papaya plant extract which may whiten the teeth. Not only this, these toothpastes also have fresh cinnamon flavor. Also it is important to see whether the toothpaste that we use is free from sulfate, gluten, bleaches, artificial sweeteners, dyes, animal-derived ingredients and artificial preservatives. We should also be well-aware that nowdays there are toothpastes obtainable in the market which are so innovative that they have come up with the novel notion of using “Peelu” as a natural tooth whitening fibre.
However, all the products in the market which are labelled as natural are not actually so. Certain products contain a chemical named sodium lauryl sulfate which is although made out of coconut or palm kernel oil, may cause irritation and damage to the skin inside the mouth. Hence, it is always advisable to check the list of ingredients on the pack before we fall for the product.
A renowned association in Pune named OSWAL DENTAL CLINIC is serving patients with varied dental services like Implant dentistry, Preventive care, Pediatric dentistry and many more. According to them, adopting a good toothbrush and a toothpaste is the first step to a strong gum care. Besides this, avoiding alchohol, cigarette, tobacco, regular consumption of calcium, rinsing mouth properly with water after every meal and regular dental check-ups can prove to be exceedingly beneficial.
Tooth and Gum care has a new colour now; Let’s paint it GREEN!!
Lets GO GREEN when it comes to toothpaste.
